Lamb Gyro

Delicious lamb gyro with tzatziki and spicy red sauce

Ingredients
  

Lamb

  • 2 lamb chops
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsbp rosemary
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tsp coarse ground pepper
  • 1 juice of lemon

Tzatziki

  • 1 cup greek yogurt
  • 1/2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 cucumber
  • t tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt

Spicy Red Sauce

  • 1 cup greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp siracha
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 juice and zest of lemon
  • kosher salt

Toppings

  • 2 pitas
  • diced tomatoes
  • shredded lettuce
  • feta cheese
  • dill

Instructions
 

Lamb

  • Season lamb with all seasonings and lemon juice, and allow to sit for an hour to rise to room temperature
  • Heat grill on high and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until medium rare
  • Slice lamb thinly, and place into pita with lettuce, tomatoes, feta, dill, and sauces of your choice

Tzatziki

  • Peel skin from cucumber, and grate into a bowl
  • Add all ingredients into a bowl and equally mix

Spicy Red Sauce

  • Add all ingredients into bowl and mix
